Breakfast Pizza

This one is my kid’s favorite recipe! It comes together really quick. A couple of ingredients at hand and few minutes of your busy morning. I usually do this veggie pizza quite often but if you have shredded chicken at hand, it would taste amazing!! We quite often have bread in our house, whole grain is always preferable. And who doesn’t have ketchup in their houses?! Not to mention cheese. Mayo and pesto would be good spreads too. White pizza anyone? Make your kids happy with this healthy, tasty recipe every morning! Yes, every morning!! You can sneak in as many veggies as possible. Oooh I thought of another veggie, spinach!!! Yeah they wouldn’t even notice it.

Okay now I will let you guys experiment and think of different variations. Here are the few ingredients I have used but you can always substitute with what your kids like.

Breakfast Pizza

(vegetarian, no oven required)

Ingredients:

4 Whole wheat or white bread slices

1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced and sautéed

1/4 cup bell peppers, cubed and sautéed

2 tbsp. black olives, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Tomato ketchup

Green chilies if needed for spice

Cheese block or grated cheese of your choice

 

Method:

Sauté all the veggies in 1 tablespoon of olive oil for two minutes, season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Spread ketchup on bread slices, put the veggies on top. Grate cheese on top.

 

Keep the bread slices on a medium hot pan. Cover with a lid and let the cheese melt on low flame.

 

Breakfast bread pizza is ready to be served!
